Nigeria's poverty despite having oil can be attributed to a combination of factors. One major reason is the mismanagement and corruption within the country's oil industry, leading to a significant portion of the oil wealth not benefiting the population. Furthermore, social and political instability, inadequate infrastructure, and a growing population have also contributed to Nigeria's persistent poverty despite its oil wealth. **
