Why do we need a literary canon? Arguments from non-fiction texts.
The literary canon serves as a collection of works that are considered to be of great cultural and artistic significance, providing a foundation for understanding and analyzing literature. In "The Western Canon" by Harold Bloom, he argues that the canon is essential for preserving the best of human thought and imagination, allowing for a shared cultural heritage. Additionally, in "The Canon: A Whirligig Tour of the Beautiful Basics of Science" by Natalie Angier, she emphasizes the importance of the canon in science, as it provides a framework for understanding the fundamental principles and theories that have shaped our understanding of the natural world. Overall, the literary canon serves as a guide for understanding the cultural and intellectual achievements of humanity, providing a common ground for discourse and analysis. **

What does non marking mean on shoes?
Non marking on shoes means that the outsole of the shoe is designed not to leave scuff marks or streaks on indoor surfaces such as basketball courts, gym floors, or dance studios. This is important for sports and activities that require traction and movement on indoor surfaces without causing damage. Non marking shoes typically have a specialized rubber compound that is softer and less abrasive, preventing marks and scuffs on the floor. **
Does every Canon lens fit on every Canon body?
No, not every Canon lens fits on every Canon body. Canon has two main types of lens mounts: EF and EF-S. EF lenses can be used on both full-frame and crop sensor Canon bodies, while EF-S lenses are designed specifically for crop sensor bodies. Additionally, Canon has recently introduced the RF mount for their mirrorless cameras, and while EF lenses can be used on RF bodies with an adapter, RF lenses are not compatible with EF or EF-S bodies. Therefore, it's important to ensure compatibility between the lens mount and the camera body before purchasing or using a lens. **
